سبعة وسبعون عاما منذ وحّد المغفور له الملك عبدالعزيز كل أجزاء الدولة السعودية الحديثة تحت إسم “المملكة العربية السعودية”. سبعة وسبعون عاما من الرخاء والأمن والأمان تحت راية لا إله إلا الله، ثم حكمة ولاة أمورنا أطال الله في أعمارهم وألبسهم ثياب العافية.0

تعددت أنواع التهاني فيما بين المحتفلين، من رسائل جوال، بريد الكتروني أو حتى عبر الشبكات الإجتماعية مثل الفيسبوك، وغيره،  هذا غير ما نراه في شوارعنا، حيث يتجمع الشباب متوشحا العلم السعودي ليعبر عن فرحته، ويجدد ولائه لولاة الأمر بعد الله.0

الجدير بالذكر أنه وخلال تصفحي لشبكة الإنترنت، لفت نظري شعار قووقل، حيث تم تعديله ليواكب هذا اليوم، ومن المعروف أن قووقل تقوم بتغيير شعارها لتواكب جميع الأعياد الأجنبية ، ولكن حسب علمي هذه أول مرة تقوم بتغيير شعارها ليواكب ذكرى اليوم الوطني السعودي.0

OneWebDay was founded by a group of people in 2006 to broadening the public awareness on Internet and Web issues.

OneWebDay, is like Earth Day for the Internet. It’s a chance to celebrate the awesomeness of the web, and make it better. OneWebDay 2009 takes place on September 22.

Many big companies/organizations have participated in this day, including:

- The Ford Foundation.

- The Mozilla Foundation.

- Google

And many more.

There are many ways to participate in this day, you can check how to participate HERE.

This is how I participated to support this day:

1) Perform an Internet Health Check.

This means you have to use any browser except IE6, personally I only use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, so I easily passed this test .

A group of famous youtubers joined forces and created a new channel on youtube called “The Station“.

In this channel you will find many hilarious comedy sketches, done by those youtubers which have been shot in a professional way, using HD camcorders.

I’m not saying all the videos are good, in fact some of them are very boring that i couldn’t continue watching them.

The creators of The Station are already having a very huge fan base, imagine them working together on the same channel.

Any way, you guys must check out this channel, and don’t forget to watch the behind the scenes channel “The Station 2”

In the last post in my blog I was talking about my social networks addiction. Now I’ll talk about the most addictive social network to me right now (Twitter).

My addiction to Twitter led me to explore its world, and during this trip, I found many celebrities tweeting and chatting with other Tweeters (or Twittereres I don’t know). Celebrities the closest thing I ever though I would be to them is on TV. Now I can read what they write, ask them questions and bond with them in general.

Everyone are probably wondering what the heck is on my sidebar? Why do I have too many Social Network profiles?!!

The easiest answer is, I’M HAVING A SOCIAL NETWORKS ADDICTION.

Wherever i find a new website, i immediately register on it, and start publishing.

I even use the following in “About You” section of the websites “A technology and movies geek with a social networks addiction”!!!!!

The problem is, my addiction to the online community started effecting my real social life, I became invisible to my family, they will only see me when i go/come to/from work!!!

Now as a first step to the right direction, I’ve started deleting/deactivating my ID on the websites that i don’t use, or even remember its log in ID (after retrieving it), hopefully I’ll keep minimal profiles.

But at the end, I can’t live without my Twitter, Facebook and Youtube accounts, It’s like the air I breath. :S

If there is a social networks rehab and they try to make me go to it, I’ll definitely say No No No. XD

I’ve been trying for months now to “Claim” my blog on Technorati.com, but somehow I’m not able to do that. Every time I try to claim it something goes wrong. No matter what i do, it never works.

But today i tried to claim it, and fortunately it worked.

قرأت صباح اليوم في أحد المدونات عن خبر شراء شركة ياهوو الأمريكية لموقع مكتوب الالكتروني والذي يدار في الأردن.0

في البداية لم أصدق الخبر، شركة ياهوو العملاقة تشتري موقع مكتوب!! وبعد البحث في موقع مكتوب وجدت أنه بالفعل سيتم الاندماج في الربع الرابع من السنة الحالية.0

وكي لا أنقص من حقه، موقع مكتوب يعتبر من أكبر المواقع العربية على الشبكة، وهو من أول المواقع التي وفرت خدمة البريد الالكتروني باللغة العربية. أيضا مكتوب وسعت من قاعدة أعضائها وزوارها بشرائها منتديات عربية مشهورة مثل منتدى العرب المسافرون، هذا بالإضافة إلى تقديمها باقة من الخدمات المجانية.0

أنا شخصيا أذكر أن أول بريد الكتروني استخدمته في حياتي كان مقدم من قبل مكتوب، وكان بالفعل تجربة لا تنسى.0

الجدير بالذكر أن سعر الصفقة لم يذكر في البيان الصحفي المقدم من قبل ياهو، ولكن الاشاعات المنتشرة في المدونات العربية والأجنبية تقول أن السعر ما بين 80 و 100 مليون دولار أمريكي، وهو مبلغ كبير بالفعل ولا أعلم إذا كان موقع مكتوب يستحقه أو لا، ولكن الخبراء في النهاية هم الذين يقررون هذا.0
